About Us – Mission
We are honoured to let you know that a new series of our academic journal in the field of legal sciences will be published in Galati, starting 2018 (in English and French).
The new series of the journal The Annals of ”Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati. Legal Sciences (ALS) continues the tradition of our faculty in promoting and disseminating the results of the scientific research and activities, to the purpose of actively integrating in the national and European community of legal journals. Edited by The Faculty of Legal, Social and Political Sciences of Galati, the journal aims at ensuring the national, European and international dissemination of the topmost theoretical and applicative contributions in the field of legal sciences authored by teachers, researchers, practitioners or other free-lance contributors from Romania or abroad.
Starting on a new path, but relying on the previous editorial tradition and experience, the new series of the Annals of our faculty addresses the national and international academic environment, as well as the practitioners in the field, and will be published annually (1 October), in print and online.
Aim and Scope
ALS provides the opportunity to publish the latest tendencies in national and foreign doctrinary analysis, analyzing the peculiarities of national law as compared to the legal systems abroad, impacting the following domains: national and international private law, European law, public law, international law, etc., in the wide context of today’s exigencies in point of human rights. According to these domains, our journal welcomes contributions pertaining to:

By publishing such a variety of materials, the editing board is interested in putting to good use and popularizing theoretical and practical studies able to reflect the present state of legal research, as well as to perform an analysis of the necessary legislative changes by the joint efforts of theoretical and practical legal researchers.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
